“The most important and greatest puzzle we face as humans is ourselves.”

What is one of your most expensive assets to attain and maintain — your employees.

Face it.  Your number one asset — your employees — will encounter issues which will, in turn, begin to not only affect their work performance, but possibly the work performance of everyone around them. These issues may include personal circumstances, health problems, anger management, and/or addictions.

What can they do when a crisis occurs and to whom can they turn? Is there anything you can do for your employee that allows them to know you care and continue to be a productive member for your staff?

By partnering with Personal Solutions, Inc. you can. We follow proven strategies of assisting individuals with personal and work related problems.

If your company is interested in establishing an Employee Assistance Program please call our office at 318-686-0012 to speak with Jim Taliaferro, EAP Coordinator.

Crisis Intervention

As our world has become more prone to violence, disaster and crisis, so has the need for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). The CISM team at Personal Solutions can offer your organization the services of our crisis intervention team in the event of a traumatic event or training seminars designed to suit your needs and to help identify the needs within your organization.

What is Critical Incident Stress Management?

According to Everly & Mitchell, CISM is defined as a comprehensive, intergrated, systematic and multi-component approach to crisis intervention.  In layman’s terms, CISM is defined as a system that allows an individual or group to process a traumatic event and manage the emotions and feelings attached to the event.

Our Team

Since 1988, the crisis intervention teams of Personal Solutions — formerly Louisiana Critical Incident Stress Management, Inc. — began working with emergency service workers and agencies across the country.  Since that time, we have developed into a diverse personnel services organization dedicated to holistic human performance.

Through our experiences in working with those affected by natural disasters, workplace violence incidents, industrial accidents, co-worker natural and accidental deaths, school violence and suicide, mass casualty incidents, and other traumatic human events, we discovered the need for trained individuals to assist those who have encountered a traumatic event.

“What Do We Do Now?”

This is the question many people frequently find themselves asking after a traumatic event. If you have already asked that question — or want to do something before you have to — allow our certified trainers to assist. We can train employee within your organization to…

  • …realize the affects of stress if left unattended.
  • …recognize the signs and symptoms of critical incident stress.
  • …build a debriefing team within your organization.
  • …use proper defusing and debriefing techniques.
  • …develop peer advocacy teams.

We offer four levels of training:

  • Basic Group Crisis Intervention
  • Advanced Group Crisis Intervention
  • Crisis Intervention and Support
  • Pastoral Crisis Intervention

All CISM classes taught by Personal Solutions trainers are registered and sanctioned by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
